The Sons of Confederate Veterans
Purpose of NC OCR
The purpose of the NC Society Order of Confederate Rose is to assist the Sons of Confederate Veterans in its historical, educational, benevolent, and social functions, especially the preservation of Confederate symbols. The NC OCR is a support group to the NC Division of the SCV and to the local camps of the SCV in NC.
To join the NC OCR you do not have to prove kinship to a Confederate soldier (unlike the SCV). You should have a desire to support our Confederate Heritage. Youths age 10 or older may join, male or female, and of course adults of any age or either sex may join.
We have the Little Rose Bud program for children from the ages of birth through age 9. This is for children who have an interest in our organization or whose parents or grandparents wish for their children to belong to a support organization that honors the Confederate soldier.
